PARENTS WATCHING TEACHERS

How We Got the TEACHER DISCIPLINE FILES

Another child predator was discovered in Highland Park ISD. New Superintendent Mike Rockwood claimed the predator had "Confidential" protection and refused to release her identity to parents.

He doubled down by asking the Attorney General to back up his claim, but it didn't play out the way he planned.

The criminal charge for Case 24-00247 is Penal Code 21.15(c), in short,

"Recording, broadcasting, or transmitting naked or clothed genitals, public area, anus, buttocks, or female breasts".

No Attorney General in the State of Texas would commit political suicide by agreeing to protect a teacher who took dirty pictures of special ed students, but that is what Rockwood claims he received from Paxton.

Don't believe us, call Austin and ask. AG Main Switchboard: 512-463-2100.

But it gets worse. We had made a similar request to the Texas Education Agency. They responded apparently to the Attorney General by their response to us.

"Not so fast Kemo sabe."

From TEA we received special ed teacher Melinda Steward's identity and confirmation of her charges. In addition they delivered over 10,000 Texas discipline cases with teacher names , dates, and charges against them. See those now at

Search Teacher Discipline Files.

That roar in the distance is not thunder. That is angry Texas parents roaring from Amarillo to McAllen. Rockwood and other secret squirrel superintendents like him can pound sand.

However we predict Mike Rockwood will not be fired. No board member will resign in shame, and the predators will continue to prey on students across the State.

This is not fixable. It will continue until the Legislature allows parents to escape.

If you know something, say something, and say it to WHISTLEBLOWER@openrecords.org.
